Daryl Rausch Daryl Rausch Fire Chief Daryl has been a member of the Monroe Fire Departmetn since January 14, 2002. He has been the Fire Chief since January 24, 2005 and is responsible for the overall direction and managment of the department. Chief Rausch previously served the Monroe Fire Department as Fire prevention Officer, and Deputy Fire Chief. Prior to coming to Monroe, Chief Rausch served with Fire Departments in Nebraska and Iowa since 1980, most recently as Chief of the Guttenberg (Iowa) Fire Department. Chief Rausch is a nationally certified Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor II, EMS First Responder-D and Fire Department Safety Officer. Additionally, he holds certifictions in Iowa and Wisconsin as a Firefighter II, Driver Operator, Aerial Operator, and Fire Inspector II. He currently serves as an adjunct instructor, and teaches fire department management classes nationwide for the National Fire Academy of Emmitsburg, Maryland, and also teaches certification classes for Blackhawk Technical College. Chief Rausch and his wife Gail have two adult daughters and six grandchildren. In their spare time, they enjoy motorcylce touring and spoiling their grandkids
Lane Heins Lane Heins Deputy Chief Lane has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since September 14, 1999. Previously to joining the department, he has served on the Platteville Fire Department. Lane is currently the Deputy Chief / Fire Prevention Officer. He is responsible for the inspections of all commercial occupancies within the City of Monroe, Monroe and Clarno Townships. Lane also provides fire prevention presentations to schools, businesses and civic groups. He is also responsible for creating pre-plans for the department. He is also an adjunct instructor for Blackhawk Technical College. Lane is also a member of the First Response Team. Lane is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator,Aerial Operator, Instructor I & II, Inspector I, Fire Officer I, Incident Safety Officer, Fire Investigator and EMT. Lane and his wife Lisa have two boys. In his spare time, Lane enjoys being outside and hunting.
Ron Briggs Ron Briggs 1st Assistant Chief Ron has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since February 8, 1977. Ron is currently the First Assistant Chief. He is responsible for oversee the Lieutenants of the Apperatus Division and maintenance of the equipment. Ron is also responsible for clearing drivers on the apparatus. Ron is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, Aerial Operator and Incident Safety Officer.
Josse Allen Josse Allen Battalion Chief Josse started with the fire service in 1999 as a volunteer with the Caribou County Fire Department in Idaho. A large majority of his time has been spent in the training sector. In addition to department training, Josse has served as an instructor for the fire academy and regional classes in Eastern Idaho. Josse and his wife, Jennifer has twin girls. His family enjoys recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping
Todd Hasse Todd Hasse Captain Todd has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since March 31, 1987. Todd is currently the Captain and departments Health and Safety Officer (HSO). He is responsible for the overall safety program of the department and the 10 member safety committee. Todd is also apart of the First Response Team. Todd is currently Certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, Aerial Operator, First Responder, Instructor, Incident Safety Officer and Fire Officer I. Besides Todds' activity within the department, he has been active in extrication training in the region. He has been an extrication instructor at the Monroe and Tomahawk Fire Schools. Todd has also served as a Great Lakes Regional Extrication Judge at Madison for the past 5 years. In his spare time, Todd is a registered land surveyor in Wisconsin and Illinios. Todd is the owner of Hasse Surveying out of Monroe.
Scott Ferguson Scott Ferguson Captain Scott has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since June 4, 1994. Scott is currently the Captain of Training. He is responsible for setting up monthly training for the department and training of new recruits. Scott is also a member of the First Response Team. Scott is currently certified in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, Aerial Operator, First Responder, Fire Officer I, and Incident Safety Officer.
Chuck Montgomery Chuck Montgomery Captain Chuck has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since August 15, 1990. Chuck is currently a Lieutenant of Apperatus. He is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all apparatus and equipment. Chuck is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, Aerial Operator, Fire Officer I, First Responder and Incident Safety Officer.

Jeff Kundert Jeff Kundert Lieutenant Jeff has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since August 2, 1997. Jeff is currently the Lieutenant of Training. He is responsible in assisting the Assistant Chief and Captain of training with the department training. Jeff will be working with the new recruits of the department. Jeff is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, Aerial Operator, Fire Officer I, First Responder and Incident Safety Officer.
Eric Welty Eric Welty Lieutenant Eric has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since August 15, 1990. Eric is currently a Lieutenant of First Response. He is responsible for training all of the member of the First Response Team and maintaining the records. Eric is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, Aerial Operator, an EMT, Incident Safety Officer, and Fire Officer I.

Larry Anderson Larry Anderson Motor Pump Operator Larry has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since September 21, 1987. He has served as a Captain of the department and is currently a motor pump operator. Larry currently holds the following certification: Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, and Aerial Operator. Larry is also well know around the states for his extrication classes. He currently still teaches extrication, but is now getting into collaspe and RIT training.
Nick Bartels Nick Bartels Motor Pump Operator Nick has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since June 31, 2004. Prior to joining the fire department, Nick had served on the Juda and Browntown Fire Departments. Nick is currently a Motor Pump Operator and is also on the First Response Team. Nick also serves as the secretary of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Fighters Inc. Nick was one of the four department firefighter that assisted with the operations in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina. Nick is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator and First Response.

He was one of the four firefighters from the department that assisted in the operations in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina. Micah is currently certified as a Firefighter I.

Gene Jacobson Gene Jacobson Motor Pump Operator Gene has been a member of the Monroe Fire Department since May 29th, 1979. he is currently certified as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Motor Pump Operator, and as an Aerial Operator. Gene also served as the President for the Monroe Volunteer Fire Fighters Inc. MVFF is the social group of the Monroe Fire Department. Gene graduated from Monroe High School in 1976. Then graduated from Jackson Area Vocational Technical Institute in 1977 for electrical motor repair and rewinding. Gene is the President of Precision Drive adn Control Inc. PDC employs over 80 personnel in the Wisconsin / Illinios stateline area. He is responsible for the electrical contracting group andthe control automotive group, Gene is a Certified Designer of engineered systems in Wisconsin. He is a certified / licensed Master Electrician in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Iowa. Gene is an active member of Associated Builders and Contractor of Wisconsin Chapter. He curently is the co-chair of the chapter Apprentice committee for the ABC and also serves on hte local Apprentiship committee for Madison Area Technical College and Blackhawk Technical College. Gene is a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, national Fire Prevention Association, and also Wisconsin State Firefighters Association, Inc. Gene and his wife Tracy live in Monroe and are the parentes of four children. He enjoys with his family: riding snowmobiles, boating, and riding his Harley.

Jared Van Dellon Jared Van Dellon Firefighter I Jared joined the Monroe Fire Department on August 1, 2007. Prior to moving to Monroe, Jared lived in Fulton IL and was a member of their Fire Department and drove for the EMS. Jared lives in Monroe and works for Roth Kase as a truck driver. He also volunteers for Green County EMS as a driver. In his spare time, Jared likes to hunt, fish, go boating and riding snowmobiles.
