Driver Fails to Yield Causing Accident - 08.30.2008
On August 30 2008 at 2:26 am. the Monroe Fire Department along with Green County EMS were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Hwy 69 and 8th St. Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles that collided and three people were injured. Two of the pattients in one vehicle needed to be extricated. All three people were transported to Monroe Clinic for further evaluation. During the investigation by Monroe Police Department it was determined that the vehicle traveling westbound on 8th St. did not yield to the other vehicle traveling southbound on Hwy 69. New Glarus EMS and Monroe DPW assisted at the accident scene. Crews remained on scene for 1 1/2hours.
