Roth Kase Building Damaged by Fire - 03.24.2006
The Monroe Fire Department was alerted at 1114 hours to the Roth Kase Building in the 1300 block of 7th Ave. Upon arrival, workers from the building were attempting to extinguish the fire which was located by the main electrical panels. Between the building personnel and the sprinkler system, the fire was contained to that part of the building. Personnel from Brodhead, Browntown, and Juda Fire Departments assisted at the location while Orangeville Fire Department back filled the Monroe Fire Station. It appears that the fire was started by an overheated heat lamp used by a private contractor.
