Light Fixture Over Heats - 08.20.2008
On August 20th fire crews were called to Heartland Grphics just down the street from the station for an odor of smoke in the building. Upon arrival Chief Rausch reported a strong odor and visible smoke in the building. Chief Rausch requested a full first alarm assignment bringing Deputy Chief Heins, Engine's 8 and 9 and Ladder 7 to the scene along with 24 firefighters. Crews pulled the ceiling in the first floor and checked the rooftop air handling units before identifying a defective flourescent light fixture as the probable cause. There was no damage to the building and crews were on-scene for about one hour.
