Driver Missing After Accident - 06.16.2008
On June 16, 2008 at 4:17 am, the Monroe Fire Department was alerted to the intersection of Haddinger and Tschudy Road for a motor vehicle accident. The department was notified that the driver of the vehicle was missing and a search was needed. Crews searched the area for an hour and a half. While searching nearby fields and buildings, we were notified that the driver made contact with family members. The location of the driver was unknown and the Green County Sheriffs Department was taking over. It was determined that the vehicle was traveling west bound on Tschudy RD when they lost control and left the road way. The vehicle struck a culvert causing the it to go airborne and come to rest on its roof. The driver then got out of the vehicle and left the scene.
