Hot Electrical Outlet Causes Scare - 03.01.2008
On March 1, 2008 the Monroe Fire Department was alerted to the 500 block of 19th Ave for a possible electrical fire inside of the residence. Upon arrival, crews found an overheated outlet. Crews removed the wall around and found charring on the wood studs. The outlet was disconnected and removed from the residence. Damage was minor and contained to the area around the outlet. Crews remained on scene for 45 minutes.
