Driver Fatally Injuried in Tractor Rollover - 10.21.2007
On Sunday October 21, 2007, the Monroe Fire Department along with Green County EMS responded to the report of a tractor rollover accident in the 1200 block of Honey Creek Rd in Clarno Township. Prior to arrival of the responding units, it was advised that the subject driving the tractor was fatally injured. Crews remained on scene to assist with the investigation from the Green County Sheriffs Department and the Green County Coroners Office. Personnel from Carrousel Farms assisted with heavy equipment in the extrication of the driver.
An investigation showed that the driver was pulling a load of manure spreader when he lost control of the tractor on a hilly portion of the road. The tractor overturned and pinned the driver underneath the tractor. this was the County's sixth fatality in 2007
