Chimney Fire - 03.07.2007
On Wednesday March 7, 2007, the Monroe Fire Department was alarted to a chimney fire in the 1600 block 13th Ave. Upon arrival, crews found embers coming out of the chimney. The fire was quickly extinghished and the chimney was cleaned out. Damage was contained to the chimney only.
As a reminder from the Monroe Fire Department, please had you chimneys inspected and cleaned each year prior to using your wood stove or fire place.
