Car Hit Bridge Support Column - 02.28.2007

On Wednesday February 28, 2007, Monroe Fire Department Along with Green County EMS were alerted for a motor vehicle accident in the 3000 block of Hwy 69. Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle that had left the road way and collided head on with the bridge support column. The subject driving was injured and transported to Monroe Clinic for further evaluation.
The vehicle was severely damaged and minor damage to the support column.  The Green County Highway Department was going to look to see if there was any structural damage to the column.  At this time, the cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Green County Sheriffs Department
