Early Sunday morning February 25, 2007, the Monroe Fire Department was alerted to a vehicle car fire in the 1700 block of 14th Ave. Upon arrival, crews found the engine compartment of a van fully engulfed.  Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, but the vehicle appeared to be a total loss.
   It appeared that the vehicle was traveling north on 14th ave when it got stuck in a snow drift.  The driver attempted to get out, but eventually overheated the engine and started on fire.
