Smoke Scare At Monroe Clinic - 08.24.2006
On Thursday August 24, 2006, the Monroe Fire Department was alerted to an active fire alarm at the Monroe Clinic. Upon arrival, maintenance staff advised that there was light smoke on the 2nd floor, but they could not find the source. After investigating, it was determined that an exit light had shorted out causing the light smoke in the hallway. The exit light was removed. The Hospital was locked down until the source was found and then normal operations was resumed. Crews were on scene for about 45 minutes.
