Car Overheats Causing Fire - 08.16.2006
On Wednesday August 16, 2006, the Monroe Fire Department responded to the Pleasant View Nursing Home Complex for the report of a vehicle that was smoking. Upon arrival, command observed maintenance staff from the complex using extinguishers on the engine compartment. Flames were observed coming out from underneath the car. the fire was extinguised by arriving crews. It was undetermined cause of the fire, but the fire was confined to the engine compartment.
