Electrical Short Causes Scare - 08.04.2006
On Friday August 4, 2006, the Monroe Fire Department responded to the 1800 of 1st Ave for a possible electrical fire. Upon arrival, crews found an electrical outlet that had shorted out. There was minor damage to the wall, the electrical outlet was taken out and had to be replaced. It was determined that the electrical cord plugged into the outlet had caused the short. Crews remained on scene for approx. 30 minutes.
