Electrical Scare at Roth Kase - 07.17.2006
On July 17, 2006 at 1249 hours, the Monroe Fire Department was alerted for a possible electrical fire at Roth Kase. Upon arrival, units found light smoke at the ceiling level and the smell of smoke in one of the coolers. During investigation, crews found an electrical panel that was warm. Additional personel was requested from Alliant Energies and Precision Drive and Control to help track down the electrical problem. It was determined that there was an electrical short in the panel. Damage was isolated to the electrical panel. Warehouse operations were stopped for a short time while the problem was repaired. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour.
