On December 26, 2011, the City of Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the 200 block of Hwy 69 for the report of a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival crews found two vehicles roughly 400 apart on the highway.  It was determined that the north bound vehicle crossed the center line and side swipped the southbound vehicle.  Minor injuries were reported and one person transported to Monroe Clinic for further evaluation of injuries. the highway was shut down for roughly 45 minutes until the vehicles and debrie were removed from teh roadway.
