Structure Fire 2000 15th Ave - 02.22.2006
The Monroe Fire Department was alerted for a report of a stucture fire in the 2000 block of 15th Ave. Upon arrival, Fire Chief Daryl Rausch confirmed that there was a working fire in the basement of the house. Forcible entry was needed to gain entrance into the back door. Once inside crews quickly knocked the fire down which was located under the stairs in the basement. Additional crews ventilated the roof and check for extension. The Monroe Police Deparment and the State Fire Marshall's Office were called in to investigate the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. At the time of the call there was one family member home who got out safely.
