On January 11, 2012, the City of Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the intersection of 8th Street and 8th Avenue for a three car accident.  It was determined that one driver pulled out of the Blue Ox parking lot and struck a west bound car.  The west bound car then spun and struck a vehicle driving east bound. One subject was trasnported to onroe Clinic For further evaluation of thier injuries.

The Monroe Fire Department was alerted to the 1300 block of 10th Street for teh report of a chinmey fire.  Upon arrival, crews found sparks coming from the chimney.  Upon inspection, crews found that the chinmey was plugged above the first floor fire place.  Crews cleaned out the chinmey and returned to quarters.

On December 26, 2011, the City of Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the 200 block of Hwy 69 for the report of a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival crews found two vehicles roughly 400 apart on the highway.  It was determined that the north bound vehicle crossed the center line and side swipped the southbound vehicle.  Minor injuries were reported and one person transported to Monroe Clinic for further evaluation of injuries. the highway was shut down for roughly 45 minutes until the vehicles and debrie were removed from teh roadway.

The Monroe Fire Department along with Green County EMS were alerted to the intersection of HWY 11 and Steiner RD for the report of a two vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, crews found two vehicle in the field on the north east corner of the intersection.  IT was determined that the north bound vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign and the vehicel traveling east collided with the other vehicle.  Both Drivers were transported to Monroe Clinic by Green County EMS for further evaluation of injuries

The Monroe Fire Department was alerted to the W3300 block of Joy Del Road for the report of a chimney fire.  Upon arrival, crews found sparks coming from the chimney.  Upon inspection, it was determined that the chinmey was plugged.  Crews cleaned the chinmey out and returned to quarters
